REPETITION BY JASEN SOUSA
REPETITION
Crackling of rain drops
bounce off the ground,
I search for my meaning in life
and it is nowhere to be found.
When you’re alone
and your heart breaks down the middle,
does it make a sound?
If it does how come no one else
seems to ever hear?
Every time I have a problem my peers
take a finger
and stick it in their ear.
I put pain on every morning,
can you tell what I wear?
It feels like I am living under water
gasping for air.
Will I sink or will I swim?
Will I live righteous or will I sin?
All I know is when I wake up
I will have to go through it all over again.
