MY TRUE FRIEND


The first day I met you
I think I already knew
from that day on
I would always love you.

You have taken my blindness
and given me sight.
My dark soul I possess,
you bring light.

You dug me out of my hole,
brought my spirits back up.
I could tell you how much you mean to me
from now until the day I die, it still wouldn’t be enough.

Wrapped and sent
from the heavens above,
a special friend
I truly love.
