MY HEART AND YOU


I can still remember the day
you caught my eye, a week did not pass
before you captured my heart.

When I thought of you I never imagined
we would drift apart.

Praying you will again
appear in my vision.
Since your love bailed out,
my heart has been living in prison.

Sometimes I feel
our relationship was not real,
that what we once shared
was only a tale.

I am not saying what we had
was fake, or that it was phony.
All I mean is without you in my life,
I am truly lonely.

Forever and beyond,
my heart and you.
