AVERAGE WEEK BY JASEN SOUSA

AVERAGE WEEK

I have just been through a long week,
I cannot even think straight.
Someone stole my money and broke into my car,
how can I not think hate?

With all the horrible things I have seen,
sometimes I wish someone would take away my sight.

My muscles hurt because I just put in
a long week of labor.
After paying taxes and bills,
I barely have any money left to savor.

Pain enters my heart
in so many different ways,
and just think, a week
only consists of seven days.
