THOUGHTS THROUGH A SLEEPLESS NIGHT BY JASEN SOUSA

THOUGHTS THROUGH A SLEEPLESS NIGHT

3 o’clock in the morning next to my bedside.
My eyes cannot close, they stay open real wide
as my mind illustrates pain written inside.
I pull the covers over my head,
the only thing left to do is hide.
Maybe one day I will be able to sleep again,
but right now I can’t tell.
Not worried about going to Heaven,

because right now I’m in Hell.
