SPIRITUAL DESIRE BY JASEN SOUSA
SPIRITUAL DESIRE
Every action I make in life
will eventually come back and hit me in the face.
Whether they are good, whether they are bad,
they will determine my final resting place.
I try not to let my anger
take control of my body
and do something I will regret
later on, life is a test and God is the teacher,
in your heart remains the answer
on what you get graded on.
I will not settle
for anything less than the best. I wish
that one day I will make my family
and friends proud, hoping that one day
I will get my name reserved on a cloud.
I believe in so many things
that I cannot even see, visions
of becoming things people tell me
that I can never be.
I live so when I pass,
the elevator to Heaven
will ultimately take me higher.
That is why I have such a strong
spiritual desire.
