CRYING IN THE DARK BY JASEN SOUSA

CRYING IN THE DARK

Middle of the night,
everyone is missing.
I talk to myself the most
because no one else is listening.

In the dark
I am the only one that is there,
on my own falling down
deeper into my fear.

Trying to figure out why so many people
treated me unkind. In the dark just like the day,
I am looking for help, but I am the only one I find.

All the anger,
all the frustration,
all the stress
keeps piling up.

Screaming, howling, bellowing out
in a thunderous bark.
No one can hear me,
when I am crying in the dark.
