WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU MEMORIZE THE CEILING BY JASEN SOUSA
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU MEMORIZE THE CEILING
It’s early in the morning,
the sun has yet to rise.
Always awake,
it’s so hard to close my eyes.
It may be hard for you to picture the visions
in the dark abyss of my mind.
Things I have yet to accomplish,
people out of my life that I miss.
Words that might have helped
to have been said, staring into the eyes of a friend
whose reflection glares red.
What really is the meaning
of going to bed?
My answer,
it’s the next best thing to being dead.
Trying to rest our tired bodies
from struggles of the day.
My suggestion, close your ears
and listen to what your eyes have to say.
