Reflective Movement By Jasen Sousa
Reflective Movement
Dusting off the past
wondering what to carry
into the future.
The weights of what I once bared
lightened by a stroll to the dumpster.
Boxed memories re-visited,
what I needed once,
what I don’t have use for anymore.
Change
exists in the draft
you feel
over your shoulder
which turns into a wind
and forces you out
of the comfort of home,
into the uncertainty
of what is yet unknown
and the journey
to collect new objects
which will inspire
tomorrow’s mission
begins.
