LOSS BY JASEN SOUSA
LOSS
Damage done to your heart is plentiful,
hard to recover.
How to handle painful loss,
no one has yet to discover.
Emptiness in our heart,
suffering in our soul.
A lifetime full of loss
can take a toll.
Stability of our mental well-being,
different views it creates behind our eyes.
Life was going great,
all of a sudden someone dies.
Can we ever gain back what we lost,
or do we spend the rest of our lives trying to find it?
Now half of our life is gone,
and it is too late to go back and rewind it.
A mystery,
not enough clues.
Non-drinkers become alcoholics,
and begin to sing the blues.
The answer to loss
sill yet to be found,
for it can never be truly known,
until we enter the ground.
